By default, Ascend will allocate 100% of visitors to experiments and distributes traffic equally among variations.

Ascend uses it’s unique evolutionary algorithms approach to drive traffic to “active” candidates while an experiment is running. This is handled automatically by Ascend. You can, however, select how much of the overall traffic to your site or specific audience you’re targeting should be allocated into the experiment.

The steps to configuring the traffic allocation percentage are listed below:

Step 1: Go to the experiments dashboard

Step 2: Click “New Experiment"

Step 3: Set the traffic allocation percentage

Step 5: Click “Save Experiment"

What if I didn’t set the traffic allocation for the experiment I already created?

Step 1: Go to the experiments dashboard

Step 2: Click the three dots next to the experiment you want to copy

Step 3: Click “Copy”

Step 4: Set the traffic allocation percentage
